Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide clinical support under RN supervision, ensuring smooth patient flow and patient satisfaction. The LPN serves as a liaison between patients and providers and administers medications per orders.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and competency in completing assigned treatments and procedures according to established standards and policies.
• Follows plan of care as directed by the RN and/or clinical supervisors. Examples may include but are not limited to: complies with physician orders, observes and reports patient needs, records vital signs and intake/output.
• Assists patients with personal hygiene, nutrition and daily activities.
• Assists physicians with medical treatments, exams and procedures appropriate to the unit.
• Reports timely changes in the patient's condition and adapts to staffing needs.
• Participates in emergent situations and supports patients and families.
• Completes patient-related activities within scheduled time periods.
