ARS Treatment Centers in Turnersville, NJ is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our outpatient treatment team. The LPN dispenses medications used in treatment and ensures completeness of medical records with the Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities include inventory management, processing physician orders, and participating in regular medical meetings to uphold licensure standards and provide compassionate, compliant patient care.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in New Jersey.
• Experience with substance-use treatment settings is a plus.
• Ability to make independent clinical decisions when needed.
• Proficient with computers and health information systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Dispense medications used in treatment and maintain accurate records.
• Monitor medication inventory and report shortages.
• Reconcile inventory of methadone and Suboxone after dosing.
• Process physician orders and document notes per orders.
• Participate in treatment team and medical meetings per licensure standards.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 4:45am-12:45pm

Position Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for dispensing any medications the clinic may utilize in the treatment of patients. The LPN Dispensing Nurse is responsible for the completeness of all medical aspects of the medical record and works with the Director of Nursing to assure appropriate medical care for patients.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Sets up for dispensing of medication and dispenses medication.
• Monitors medication inventory and reports to charge nurses.
• Reconciles inventory of Methadone and Suboxone at conclusion of dosing
• Signs and processes physician orders. Enters notes and inputs flags as per physician orders
• Processes phase change requests
• Participates on Treatment team and regular Medical Meetings as per Licensure standards.
• Be proficient with State Licensure Standards, CARF Standards, 42 CFR and HIPAA standards and Company policies.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an active license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New Jersey.
• Some understanding of substance abuse.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed
• Proficient in the use of personal computers
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Successful completion of State required background check and required training.
