Qualifications

• LPN certification with IV therapy where required by unit.
• Basic life support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
• Valid LPN license and knowledge of clinical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care by executing treatments directed by supervisor.
• Reports patient issues to supervisor and staff.
• Maintains accurate patient records (charts, schedules, history, medications).
• Educates patients and families according to the care plan.
• Functions in expanded IV therapy role as allowed by state regulations.
• Serves on committees or project teams to improve patient care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
