Job summary

Sanford Health in the Dickinson Walk In Clinic is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our fast-paced team. The LPN will assist with patient care, document medical histories, and administer medications under supervision. The role supports a day shift schedule with 24 hours per week, and requires weekend coverage every third.

Our clinic operates Mon-Fri 8:00a–8:00p and weekends 8:00a–6:00p. Experience in nursing and an active LPN license are required; IV therapy skills may be required

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
• If position requires IV therapy/management skills, the following is required in North Dakota: graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients.
• Documents a thorough medical history from patient.
• Contributes to the assessment of patients and administers medications or treatments as ordered.
• Provides technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
• Counseling patients and family members, under the direction of a registered nurse, on prevention and treatment plans.
• The LPN demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards as designated in their assigned clinical setting.
