Job summary

ViaQuest Healthcare Central is seeking a Developmental Disabilities LPN to join our team on the 1st shift. You will administer medications, monitor health status, and coordinate with MDs to ensure safe, quality care for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Qualified candidates are licensed LPNs with experience in developmental disabilities, strong communication, and time-management skills. Supervisory experience may be preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program and licensed as LPN.
• Experience in developmental disabilities.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Supervisory or management experience may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response; notify MD as needed.
• Administer treatments (topical, ear, eye, enemas, tube feedings, first aid) and monitor effectiveness.
• Assess health status including vital signs and document in nursing notes.
• Follow up on health concerns in a timely manner.
• Lock and secure unattended medication/treatment supplies/carts.
• Use nursing judgment to assess conditions and initiate care.
• Document narcotic counts, MAR/TAR, and administration details.
• Oversee delegated nursing actions by other employees.
• Complete nursing notes by end of shift.
