Job summary

Norman Regional is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to perform LPN duties under the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act. The role contributes to patient care planning, administers medications safely, maintains exam rooms, and documents nursing activities on a day shift.

The position requires an Oklahoma LPN license, BLS certification, and ideally 1 year of clinical or physician-office experience. It offers benefits, growth opportunities, and on-site work in Norman, OK.

Qualifications

• Must hold current LPN license from the State of Oklahoma.
• BLS certification/training required during orientation and maintained throughout employment.
• Prefer at least one year of clinical or physician-office experience; ER or hospital patient-care settings valued.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties of a licensed practical nurse as prescribed by the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act.
• Contributes to the development of a plan of care and follows through with such plan for selected patients.
• Administers medication with a high degree of safety and accuracy.
• Maintains the exam rooms and work environment.
• Documents nursing care and activities.
• Assists with patient care and monitors patients during procedures.
• Assists with the training of other staff.
• Assists departmental assistant with clinical matters.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse
