AdventHealth is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time daytime role in Lawrence, KS. You will coordinate patient care in a physician’s clinic, assist during exams, perform phlebotomy, and manage medications and immunizations under supervision.

The position emphasizes safety protocols and patient comfort. The role requires an LPN license and BLS certification, with on-the-job training available.

Qualifications

• LPN license is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• On-the-job training/proficiency may be provided.
• Education: Associate degree or equivalent for LPN preferred.
• Work experience: 1+ position related experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and provides quality patient-focused care in a physician’s clinic.
• Places patients in the examining room and ensures their comfort.
• Performs patient intake, vital signs, and documents patient information.
• Assists physicians with examinations, treatments, and office surgeries.
• Performs phlebotomy and laboratory tests as required, adhering to regulations.
• Screens telephone calls, takes accurate clinical messages, and answers routine inquiries.
• Performs triage duties according to practice protocols.
• Maintains exam room readiness and equipment sterilization logs.
• Prepares and administers medications and immunizations as directed by the provider.
• Obtains insurance prior authorizations for medications and communicates changes to providers and patients.
• Follows CDC isolation guidelines and PPE policies.
