Job summary

State of Georgia, Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the day shift to deliver direct nursing care to injured, ill, convalescent, or disabled individuals. You will administer medications and injections as part of a comprehensive care plan.

Under supervision, you will assist in patient assessments, monitor conditions, and document treatments in the medical record while adhering to Georgia licensing standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED and completion of an LPN Program through an approved Georgia Nursing Board.
• Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Or a Vocational/Technical degree from an accredited college with current Georgia LPN license.

Responsibilities

• Provide general direct nursing care to injured, ill, convalescent or disabled individuals.
• Administer medication and give injections per plan of care.
• Document treatments and monitor patient status under supervision.
