Job summary

The Grand Pavilion for Rehabilitation and Nursing at Rockville Center is seeking a licensed practical nurse to join our caring team. The position offers day, evening, and overnight shifts and a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities include supervising shift staff, ensuring resident care meets standards, communicating with physicians, and maintaining resident privacy and medication safety. NY LPN license is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an LPN in New York State.
• Clinical knowledge and skill in nursing practices and regulatory standards.
• Team player, cooperative with coworkers of all disciplines.
• Able to function under supervision and independently when needed.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, supervisors, staff, and other disciplines.
• Capable of assuming unit leadership in the absence of the Unit Manager.
• Proactive in seeking interventions for resident care and services.
• Flexible to special staffing or clinical situations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates activities of personnel assigned to a specific shift.
• Communicates and applies policies, practices, procedures, objectives, and goals.
• Maintains privacy and confidentiality of resident information.
• Maintains control of access to medications.
