Healthcare Staffing Professionals is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) in Marquette, MI to provide skilled nursing services in state correctional facilities under supervision of a registered nurse or doctor. Compensation is $46 per hour for a 40-hour work week.

The role involves medication setup and administration, monitoring effects, and participating in rehabilitation activities while maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring safety standards.

Qualifications

• American Heart Association - BLS Certificate.
• Active LPN License in the state of Michigan.
• Basic Life: $25,000 (100% employer paid).
• Basic Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) : $25,000 (100% employer paid).
• Voluntary Life/AD&D: Additional coverage options available for employees, spouses and children (100% employee paid).
• Company 401(k)plans with eligibility from the 1 st day of the month following hire.
• Dedicated Administrative Support Staff.

Responsabilités

• Set up prescribed medications in accordance with patients' nursing care plans.
• Administer medications to patients orally, intramuscularly or subcutaneously.
• Monitor effects of medication, records all medications given to patients.
• Assists in rehabilitation programming, such as: development of social skills, development of daily living skills, reality orientation.
• Record treatment given to patients on their medical record.
• Under supervision of the registered nurse, perform nursing acts, functions, or tasks as delegated.
• Administer nursing procedures to patients per care plans (e.g., sterile dressing, soaks, catheters, diabetic care, etc).
