Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Kent County Correctional Facility in Grand Rapids, MI. The role supports Day, Night, and PRN shifts, delivering nursing care within the LPN scope as directed by medical leadership.

Qualifications

Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of employment.
Possesses an active CPR certification.
Remains knowledgeable about specific state laws and regulations governing practice.

Responsibilities

Utilizes a systematic approach to meet the health needs of each individual patient.
Implements nursing care within the LPN’s scope of practice and follows applicable laws.
Assists in teaching plans based on patient needs, focusing on health promotion and restoration.
Cares for wounds with proper cleaning and dressing.
Administers medications to offenders and documents actions in MAR.
