Job summary

Qualifications

• Certificate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse Program or required education as described by the NYS Education Department.
• Certificate from an accredited school of Practical Nursing.
• NYS LPN license required.
• Good clinical patient care skills and communication skills.
• Must be service-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and write in English is required.
• Valid BCLS.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to residents/patients in a long-term care facility.
• Recognize changes in resident/patient's condition and respond appropriately.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient/resident's needs.
• Assign duties to Certified Nurse Assistants based on needs.
