East Hawaii Region of Hawai`i Health Systems Corporation seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care, wound care, and assistance with diagnostic tests in a 24/7 hospital setting.

Entry-level or full-perf candidates are welcome; Hawaii LPN licensure and BLS certification within six months are required. The role emphasizes compassionate care, safety, and collaboration with RNs and physicians.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program (or equivalent training required for licensure in the State of Hawaii).
• Entry Level: No prior experience required.
• Full Performance: One (1) year of progressively responsible nursing experience in a hospital or similar healthcare setting preferred (or completion of a professional nursing program may substitute for experience).

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and document all care in accordance with established policies.
• Provide direct patient care, including wound care, catheterization, tube feedings, oxygen therapy, and tracheostomy care.
• Monitor and record vital signs, observe patient conditions, and promptly report significant changes to the supervising nurse.
• Assist with diagnostic tests, procedures, and physician-directed treatments.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized patient care plans.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked care environment while adhering to infection control and safety standards.
