Qualifications

• Unrestricted license in the state of Iowa as a LPN.
• CPR certificate.
• Venipuncture skills.
• Ability to work independently and exercise discretion and own judgment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to patients in treatment.
• Perform nursing assessments and H&P's on all new admissions or readmissions when necessary.
• Review prescriptions and OTC medications for accuracy and patient awareness of adverse reactions.
• Perform TB tests and other testing as ordered by physician.
• Carry out physician orders including telephone orders.
• Assist physician with clinic tasks and patient rooming.
• Document patient status clearly and timely for team review.
• Make health referrals when appropriate.
