Job summary

Lakewood Health System in Staples, MN is seeking a Podiatry LPN/MA for a full-time daytime role. The position supports podiatry care, rooming patients, and assisting providers with foot and ankle care. EPIC EHR familiarity is preferred.

The ideal candidate has an LPN license or MA cert, and BLS certification, with opportunities for growth across a rural healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing or Medical Assistant program.
• Must have and maintain a current LPN license or Medical Assistant certification.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Completing room preparation.
• Completing the rooming process with the patient.
• Assisting the provider with patient care items, wound care, nail care, and overall foot and ankle health and well being.
• Completing documentation within EPIC system.
• In-basket and phone support to the Podiatry Care Team with the flexibility of floating when needed within the Specialty Care Team to provide coverage/support.

Our dedicated Podiatry team provides specialized, patient-centered care for all ages. We collaborate across specialties to ensure prevention, diagnosis, and treatment are seamless, compassionate, and personalized.

Mission for Position

The Podiatry LPN/CMA delivers high-quality, personalized specialty care while fostering an efficient, supportive, and collaborative clinic environment that promotes growth and learning.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Completing room preparation.
• Completing the rooming process with the patient.
• Assisting the provider with patient care items, wound care, nail care, and overall foot and ankle health and well being.
• Completing documentation within EPIC system.

Position Type

This is a full-time position working 64-80 hours (0.8-1.0FTE) per pay period, Monday through Friday, day shift hours.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing or Medical Assistant program
• Must have and maintain a current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or Medical Assistant certification
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification
