Job summary

Galen Medical Group in Tennessee seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the team in a hands-on clinical role across multiple specialties in the Chattanooga region. You will collaborate with providers, perform patient intakes, vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, and assist with procedures while maintaining accurate documentation.

The ideal candidate holds an active TN LPN license, has phlebotomy experience, and is committed to HIPAA and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a licensed practical nurse program; active LPN license in TN or compact state.
  • Clinical and phlebotomy experience required; BLS certified at all times.
  • Must be able to document efficiently, accurately, and timely.

Responsibilities

  • Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temperature, BP, weight, height).
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure instruments are clean and sterile.
  • Assist provider with procedures and handle specimen collection/performance tests.
  • Coordinate scheduling for outpatient testing or admissions; manage pre-certifications.
  • Perform EKGs and venipuncture; role as phlebotomist as needed.
  • Document results and educate patients; maintain HIPAA compliance.
