Job summary

Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV is seeking a casual, as-needed LPN for the Clinical Observation Unit. The unit handles a broad range of adult patients meeting observation criteria, with protocols for chest pain, COPD, asthma, and heart failure.

Under the direction of Registered Nurses, the LPN will assist in delivering direct patient care, support the health care team, and help with prevention of illness and maintenance of wellness.

Qualifications

• Current WV LPN license is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• One year of direct LPN experience is preferred.
• Junior College/Technical school training is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist under the direction of the Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care.
• Collaborate with the health care team to provide patient-centered care.
• Support prevention of illness and maintenance of wellness for patients in the unit.
