Job summary

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Clinical Observation Unit. The LPN will work under the direction of the Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care for a broad range of adult patients meeting observation criteria.

Requirements include completion of a Junior College/Technical school LPN program, current WV LPN license, CPR certification, and preferably one year of direct LPN experience.

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking apart-time LPNfor theClinical Observation Unit.

The Clinical Observation Unit can have a broad range of adult patients ambulatory and non-ambulatory, that meet initial criteria for observation. The department will serve to provide efficient protocol-based care to patients with well-defined diagnosis or presenting symptoms such as chest pain, COPD, asthma & congestive heart failure.

The Licensed Practical Nurse is to work under the direction of the Registered Nurse to assist in providing optimal nursing care to the patient. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) integrates skills and knowledge to provide patient-centered nursing care to meet the patient needs. Assists the health care team with the prevention of illness and injury, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort. The LPN collaborates with the Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care.
