Job Description
The LPN Clinic is responsible for providing patient care following established standards and practices. Assists physicians, nurses, and staff with the daily coordination of patient care and patient access. Coordinates patient flow, schedules appointments, procedures, tests, and referrals. May serve as a preceptor for clinical staff. Relies on guidelines to accomplish tasks while also applying experience and judgment. Worksuchi under general supervision and may lead and direct the work of others within scope of practice.
Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process under the direction and supervision of the healthcare provider at all times.
- Review bestimmte diagnostic test results and report abnormal results and changes in patient condition to the RN, physician and appropriate healthcare team members immediately.
- Administer prescribed medications, therapies and treatments in accordance with practical nursing standards at all times.
- Maintainავალი environment that promotes patient and healthcare team safety at all times.
- Provide compassionate basic nursing care while maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Implement components of the plan of care within the LPN scope of practice and competency to promote desired outcomes at all times.
- Coordinate patient care: Collaborate with supervisory healthcare provider effectively at all times.
- Assist physicians, RNs and health care team members with data collection, assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation of patient care to achieve desired outcomes.
- Support the patient’s psychological, ethical, spiritual and cultural-compere needs by collaborating with the RN and healthcare team.
- Serve as a resource to the healthcare team to increase practice knowledge.
- Actively participate in unit teams, work groups and/or committees as requested; anticipate needs and voluntarily assist others.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, utilizing standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.
- Other duties as assigned: Fulfill any additional responsibilities assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
- High School graduationbéco.
- Proficient in English, both verbal and written, and computer skills.
- Licensed as an LPN in the state of Louisiana or have a work permit and BLS certification.
