Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Current Nebraska state license or current compact state license as a practical nurse.
• Experience using an electronic medical record.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, accurate and clinically competent direct care based on patient needs.
• Obtains vital signs and height/weight and documents in the EMR.
• Collects from the patient required information such as smoking status, allergies and medication list and documents in the EMR.
• Gathers necessary information and facilitates the process for obtaining prior authorization of psychotropic medications.
• Provides relevant patient education.
• Responds to questions from patients, relays information to the provider and communicates direction from the provider to the patient; documents relevant information in the EMR.
• Manages patient requests for refills of prescription medications in a timely manner.
