Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants. Plan the shift’s services and activities with assigned staff.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Provide leadership to nursing personnel on your unit/shift.
• Develop and maintain good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel to ensure nursing services meet resident needs.
• Monitor safety regulations in use of equipment and supplies.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information.
