Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care under the direction of a registered nurse. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and support assigned patients with IV therapy when needed.

The role requires an LPN license in the state of practice and BLS certification, with IV therapy credentials preferred. This on-site position supports a fast-paced clinical environment in Louisiana.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in state of practice is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• IV Therapy Credentials are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to deliver patient care through data gathering, planning, and evaluation.
• Provides care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria for the ages served.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and staff to ensure a quality patient experience.
• Adapts to rapid changes in the unit or department.
• Maintains required clinical knowledge, skills, training and credentials.
• Performs other related duties as required.
