Cleveland Clinic Health System in Lorain, OH is seeking an LPN for ambulatory urgent care. In this role you will assist caregivers, support patient-first care, and expand nursing skills within the Cleveland Clinic system.

You will provide patient care under RN/physician supervision, participate in nursing assessments, and help educate patients and families. This position requires flexibility and weekend shifts as described in the job details.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Practical Nursing.
• Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsabilités

• Collect and document objective and subjective data and observations about patients.
• Complete nursing assessments and report all data.
• Implement the current nursing care plan, medications or treatments and communicate patients' responses.

• Educate patients and family members.

A caregiver in this position works 8:00am to 8:00pm or 7:30am to 3:30pm. Requirements include every other weekend.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate of an approved school of Practical Nursing

• Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN)

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• One year of patient care experience

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good hand-eye coordination, involves extensive standing walking and occasional lifting.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
• Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
