Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking an LPN for the Ambulatory Float Pool, 40-hour days. The role involves performing delegated nursing tasks, patient assessments, administering medications, venipuncture, EKGs, and vaccinations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients via electronic, telephonic, and in-person means.

Records and reports observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient condition to Provider and/or RN and assists in analyzing and interpreting patient data.6.Assists provider with treatments, procedures, and special tests as required or directed.7. Communicates with patients via electronic, telephonic, and in person, per scope of practice.8. Collaborates with other health care providers to ensure quality and continuity of care.9. Maintains a safe environment.**Standard Staffing Level Responsibilities:**1. Complies with established departmental policies, procedures.2. Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:**Must be able to lift, up to 50 pounds. Work is of heavy demand, standing and walking most of the time with the possibility of pushing heavy equipment and bending frequently.
