Job summary

Bon Secours’ Memorial Regional Medical Center in Virginia is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver safe, efficient patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse and the medical team. You will perform direct nursing duties and assist with care plans.

Requirements include a High School Degree or GED and completion of an accredited LPN program, with current state licensure. BLS is preferred; EPIC EHR training and Basic Arrhythmia coursework are valued for telemetry units.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED.
• Completion of an accredited LPN Program.
• Current state licensure as an LPN (or LPN applicant).
• BLS – American Heart Association preferred.
• One year of clinical patient care experience (preferred).
• EPIC EHR training (preferred).
• Basic Arrhythmia class completion required for Telemetry units.

Responsibilities

• Gives direct nursing care and assists with care of the patient at the direction of a RN/physician/APP.
• Implements the plan of care and provides direct basic nursing care.
• Performs phlebotomy services.
• Contributes to the plan of care with input from patient/family and team.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Other duties as assigned.
