Job summary

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Provides and supervises direct and indirect nursing care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients under the general supervision of a registered nurse. Maintains overall departmental operations in accordance with the facilities mission and philosophy. Participates and maintains performance improvement activities to assure highest standards of care.

Qualifications

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduated from an accredited Practical Nursing Program
• Current License by State Board of Nursing required
• Current BCLS required
• PALS and ACLS required

PHYSICAL / MENTAL DEMANDS

• Ability to think and work effectively under stress with frequent interruptions; to move, sit, stand, walk and bend intermittently throughout the work day, lift and/or move up to 90 pounds.
• Must possess sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these sources to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
• Use of mechanical and technical equipment required for the responsibilities assigned.
