Job summary

State of Louisiana is seeking a dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN 1, LPN 2, or LPN 3) for the Rosenblum Behavioral Health Clinic in Hammond, LA. The role supports outpatient treatment for behavioral health and related medical conditions, within an equal opportunity employer framework.

Qualifications

• Possession of a current Louisiana Practical Nurse license, a temporary permit, or a multi-state license issued by the NLC/eNLC.

• Familiarity with EHR documentation and clinical procedures.

Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

Possession of a current Louisiana Practical Nurse license, a temporary permit, or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state.

Job Duties and Other Information

The outpatient LPN duties include, but are not limited to:

• Provides direct nursing care to clients receiving treatment for mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or medical illness.
• Responsible for performing individualized direct client care.
• Performs standard nursing services, which may include the following: administering prescribed medications, performing injections, maintaining documentation in the electronic health record (EHR), administering screenings, tests, and other required labs, conducting assessments and screens for new clients.
• Participates as an active member of an interdisciplinary Treatment Team.

Position-Specific Details:

Appointment Type:Probational Appointment. Applicants may be asked to serve a probationary period that may be anywhere between 6 months and 24 months.

Compensation:This position is eligible for premium pay of $1.00/hour for hours worked performing direct patient care.
The following rates are Special Entrance Rates (SER) established for this agency in these job titles:

• LPN 1 : $19.48/hour minimum - $29.50/hour maximum

• LPN 2 : $20.84/hour minimum - $31.57/hour maximum
• LPN 3 : $22.30/hour minimum - $33.78/hour maximum

Salary may be negotiable depending on the chosen applicant’s level of experience. Note regarding the advertised payrange: The maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title and NOT the maximumamount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
