Job summary

Orison-Solutions-LLC is seeking a licensed practical nurse for night shift on Medical Surgical/Observation units. You will float to other Med-Surg units as needed, read telemetry, and operate with Epic EMR proficiency. Active Ohio LPN license and BLS required, with at least 2 years of hospital experience and IV certification.

Shift is 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every third weekend, 36 hours/week. Successful candidates will manage a 5-patient load under RN oversight and complete any required refresher

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years hospital experience.
• Must be able to manage a patient load of 5 with RN oversight.
• Telemetry reading proficiency; tested on day one.
• IV certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on Medical Surgical/Observation units.
• Float to other Med-Surg units as needed (Surgical, Respiratory, Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation).
• Night shift coverage; 7:00 PM–7:30 AM with every third weekend.

Job description

LPN will work primarily on the Medical Surgical/Observation units and will also float occasionally between various Med-Surg units as needed (Surgical, Respiratory, Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, etc.). 36 hours/week. Night shift (7p - 7:30a) with every third weekend required. There is no call requirement. Current Epic EMR proficiency is required (refresher classes or having someone sit 1:1 with them are NOT options) . Active BLS and Ohio LPN license are both required. Minimum 2 years of current/recent hospital experience is required. Must be able to manage a patient load of 5 patients with RN oversight. (must be able to read Telemetry; they will be tested for this skill on day one and will be terminated if they cannot pass the competency; will also be terminated if we discover they are not Epic proficient). IV certification is required.
