Job summary

Sevita, a leading provider of home and community-based health care, seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse for full-time evening/overnight shifts in Florida. The role includes nursing care, medication administration, and ISP health services for individuals with brain injuries and developmental challenges.

You’ll train staff and collaborate with medical teams to address complex needs. The starting pay is $25/hour with a $3,500 bonus, plus a structured payout schedule.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing or equivalent from an accredited program.
• One year of nursing experience with the served population.
• Current LPN/LVN license in the state.
• Driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor health conditions and ensure quality services.
• Administer medications and document, oversee care by staff.
• Provide prescribed medical treatment per physician orders and personal care.
• Conduct assessments and implement ISP health care services; adapt to condition changes.
• Provide staff training including infection control and medication administration.
• Serve as liaison with other medical and professional providers.
• Provide training for individuals on self-medication, prescribed treatments, sex ed/STD prevention, and smoking cessation.

Job description

NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans.

Licensed Practical Nurse - Fulltime Evening / Overnight (Weekends : 7PM to 7AM and Weekdays : 3PM to 11PM)

Starting payrate is $25/hr. or more depending on experience with a $3,500 bonus!

Bonus Structure Payout

• 1month - $500
• 3 months - $700
• 6 months - $850
• 9 months - $850
• 12 months - $600

You will have large impact by providing nursing services, training, and supports to address the medical or psychiatric needs of individuals with a brain injury, intellectual and developmental disability, a substance use disorder, and/or has an emotional or behavioral disability.

• Monitor the health conditions of individuals served and ensure quality services are provided.
• Administer medications and provide documentation as well as oversee and monitor staff members who administer medications.
• Provide prescribed medical treatment by physician’s orders and personal care services.
• Conduct assessments, implement health care services to be included in each Individual Service Plan (ISP), and respond to changes of condition.
• Provide training to staff members including universal precautions, infection control, and medication administration.
• Serve as liaison and advocate with other medical and professional service providers.
• Provide training for individuals served with topics including self-medication, prescribed treatments, sex education/STD prevention and smoking cessation.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing or related field, or a graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• One year of experience working with population served in a nursing capacity.
• Current state LPN or LVN License.
• Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance.
• Additional certifications as required by state licensing regulations such as CPR/FA and HIV/AIDS certification, BBP, and ACT training.
• Ability to effectively communicate with staff, individuals served, and families.
