Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license is required.
• Experience delivering direct nursing care in a clinical setting.
• Ability to manage chronic disease care and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to incarcerated patients, including assessments, treatments, and documentation.
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per provider orders and facility protocols.
• Respond to urgent and emergent medical situations, triage needs, and coordinate higher-level care when needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, mental health providers, and correctional staff to support comprehensive inmate care.
• Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and ensure compliance with state and facility regulations.
• Participate in health screenings, chronic disease management, and patient education initiatives.
• Follow infection control, safety, and security procedures within the correctional environment.
• Support orientation and mentoring of new nursing staff and contribute to a positive team culture.
