Job summary

Living Branches in Pennsylvania is seeking a Pool/PRN LPN or RN to provide compassionate, consistent nursing care and to help foster a community-focused environment.

You will assess patient needs, develop care plans, administer nursing care, supervise unlicensed staff, monitor vital signs, respond to emergencies, and communicate with physicians and families to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Valid LPN/RN license.
• 2-4 years related nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and emergencies.
• Knowledge of HIPAA rules and long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate resident needs and develop individual care plans.
• Administer nursing care and monitor health status.
• Supervise and direct unlicensed nursing staff in care delivery.
• Record vital signs and conduct regular checks.
• Respond to emergencies and notify physicians as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and privacy.

LPN/RN Description:

• Utilize the nursing process, procedures and techniques to perform various duties such as evaluating resident needs, developing individual care plans, administering nursing care, and evaluating nursing care
• Supervises and directs care provided by unlicensed nursing staff in the delivery of nursing care to render general health care within scope of practice
• Ensures that temperature, pulse, blood pressure and other vital sign checks including pacemakers checks are completed and recorded
• Responds and reacts to emergency calls from residents.
• Notifies physicians, supervisor, family or other appropriate personnel when unusual resident condition exists
• Valid LPN License/ RN License
• 2-4 years of related experience (Preferred)
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, has ability to prioritize work and address emergencies as they may occur
• Knowledge of HIPPA rules and regulations and of regulations and guidelines governing long-term care
