Job summary

Bibb Medical Center in Centreville, Alabama is seeking a licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our nursing home. This full-time position requires an active AL LPN license and graduation from an accredited LPN program. CPR/BLS certification is required or obtained during orientation.

The LPN will deliver quality nursing care to residents, monitor changes in condition, report findings, and provide supervision to CNAs. One year geriatric nursing experience is preferred but not required.

As an important member of our nursing team, the LPN delivers quality nursing care to our residents, as well as provides care and services to allow residents to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Bibb Medical Center policies and procedures. Duties include monitoring and reporting changes in the resident's condition, and assigning duties, instructing, and providing clinical supervision to CNAs.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited LPN program.
• Currently licensed/registered in Alabama. Must maintain an active Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) license in good standing throughout employment.
• One (1) year geriatric nursing experience preferred but not required.
• CPR or BLS certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. Must remain current during employment.
