Job summary

Elevare Behavioral Health seeks a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide direct nursing care in a behavioral health treatment setting in Aurora, CO. You will support safe withdrawal management, medication administration, patient monitoring, and continuity of care with a multidisciplinary team.

We value strong clinical judgment, patient safety, and respectful care. A current CO LPN/LVN license and 1 year of withdrawal-management experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program.
• Current, unrestricted LPN/LVN license in Colorado.
• One year of withdrawal management experience.
• Behavioral health or detox experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, complete nursing assessments, monitor vital signs, and identify changes in patients’ medical or psychiatric condition.
• Monitor and manage withdrawal symptoms using CIWA and COWS, while supporting safe detoxification and patient stabilization.
• Administer medications, including MAT, monitor effectiveness and adverse reactions, and maintain accurate medication documentation and controlled medication counts.
• Respond to medical and behavioral health emergencies, including overdose, withdrawal complications, suicide risk, and psychiatric crises.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, clinical staff, and the treatment team to coordinate care, educate patients, document services, and support discharge planning.
• Comfortable facilitating psychoeducational groups within the nursing scope of practice, including health, wellness, medication education, and other recovery-focused topics.

Elevare Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our medical team. The LVN/LPN provides hands‑on nursing care to individuals receiving treatment for substance use and co‑occurring mental health conditions.

This role works closely with nursing leadership, medical providers, therapists, and behavioral health staff to support safe withdrawal management, medication administration, patient monitoring, and continuity of care. We are looking for a nurse who is comfortable working in a behavioral health environment and understands the importance of patient safety, strong clinical judgment, and respectful patient care.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse program


• Current, unrestricted LPN or LVN license in the state of employment


• One year of experience in withdrawal management


• Behavioral health, substance use treatment, detox/withdrawal management, psychiatric nursing, emergency care, or acute care experience preferred


• Current CPR/BLS certification


• CPI, crisis prevention, or approved de‑escalation training as required by facility policy


• Knowledge of substance use disorders and co‑occurring mental health conditions


• Strong clinical judgment, communication, documentation, and patient‑care skills


• Education Associates Degree
