Job summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse at Baptist Health provides safe, therapeutic patient care in the Geriatric Behavioral Health department under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The LPN demonstrates clinical competence and critical thinking while delivering compassionate care in the hospital setting.
Arkansas licensure and Healthcare CPR are required; some areas may require ACLS/PALS/NALS, with specialty education provided as needed.
Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse licensed and in good standing in Arkansas.
- CPR certification required; ACLS/PALS/NALS may be required in some areas.
- Specialty education provided for certain units.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, therapeutic patient care using the nursing process under RN supervision.
- Demonstrate clinical competence and critical thinking during shifts.

Working Hours: Minimum of 3 12-hour shifts a week 6:30a - 7:00p
The Licensed Practical Nurse at Baptist Health is accountable for utilizing the nursing process and the training provided by Baptist Health to provide safe, therapeutic, and compassionate patient care. The LPN is expected to demonstrate clinical competence and critical thinking under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing in the state of Arkansas.
- Healthcare CPR required, some areas may require ACLS, PALS and/or NALS - training provided.
- Specialty units require and will provide specific specialty education.
This job will be authorized 72.00 hours bi-weekly.
