Lead Clinical Therapist – Overview
PsychPros is assisting a long-standing non‑profit behavioral health organization in Owensboro, Kentucky, with its search for a Lead Clinical Therapist. This is an excellent opportunity to join a mission‑driven team dedicated to providing trauma‑informed care to youth and families in a collaborative, supportive environment. This is a salaried position with no billable productivity requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the treatment of youth in care.
- Assign clinician caseloads and monitor compliance with clinical documentation, human trafficking screenings, and state and federal regulations.
- Provide clinical guidance and consultation to Case Managers, Care Team Coordinators, Unit Supervisors, and Direct Care staff.
- Participate in Care Team meetings and offer expertise on mental health treatment and trauma‑informed behavioral interventions.
- Prepare diagnostic assessments, develop treatment recommendations, facilitate clinical staff training, and support program development.
- Serve as the primary clinical liaison to the Care Team Coordinator and Program Director.
- Participate in the on‑call crisis rotation.
- Conduct mental health assessments, provide individual and group counseling, complete human trafficking screenings, and deliver crisis intervention services.
- Maintain a clinical caseload while providing leadership support, based on program census and staffing needs.
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health discipline.
- Active Kentucky clinical licensure as an LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT.
- Three (3) years of post‑graduate clinical experience.
- One (1) year providing direct services to youth and families.
- One (1) year of community‑based and/or in‑home behavioral health experience.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
