Job summary

Texas Recovery Centers is seeking a licensed professional counselor (LPC) or licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) to join our clinical team in Texas. This position provides individual, group, and family counseling to adults with substance use disorders and co-occurring behavioral health conditions.

The ideal candidate will assess clients, develop treatment plans, facilitate groups, document in our EMR, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver trauma-informed, recovery-oriented

Qualifications

  • Current LPC or LCSW license in the State of Texas.
  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology or related field.
  • Experience providing clinical services to individuals with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring conditions preferred.
  • Experience in residential, inpatient, detox/ PHP/IOP settings preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Ability to conduct clinical assessments and develop treatment plans.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients with substance use and co-occurring disorders.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and identify client needs, risks, and goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs.
  • Regularly evaluate client progress and update treatment plans.
  • Facilitate therapeutic and recovery-focused groups.
  • Provide crisis intervention and clinical support when needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and progress notes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment team and coordinate with outside providers.

Reports To: Clinical Director / Program Director

Location: Texas

Position Summary

Texas Recovery Centers is seeking a compassionate, experienced Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our clinical team. This position will provide individual, group, and family counseling to adults receiving treatment for substance use disorders and co-occurring behavioral health conditions.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a substance use or behavioral health treatment setting and be comfortable providing clinical assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, facilitating groups, completing clinical documentation, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team.

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and identify client strengths, needs, risks, and treatment goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each client's clinical needs.
  • Regularly evaluate client progress and update treatment plans as appropriate.
  • Facilitate therapeutic, psychoeducational, process, and recovery-focused groups.
  • Provide crisis intervention and appropriate clinical support when necessary.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions appropriate to the client's diagnosis and treatment needs.
  • Provide trauma-informed, recovery-oriented and client-centered care.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Complete clinical assessments, progress notes, treatment plan updates, discharge summaries, and other required documentation.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and collaborate with medical, nursing, case management, and other clinical staff.
  • Coordinate care with outside providers and community resources when appropriate.
  • Assist clients with discharge planning, continuing-care planning and connection to appropriate community resources.
  • Monitor client safety and communicate significant clinical concerns to appropriate members of the treatment team.
  • Maintain appropriate professional and therapeutic boundaries with clients.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all applicable privacy and confidentiality requirements.
  • Follow facility policies, clinical protocols, regulatory requirements, and applicable state and federal laws.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, training and continuing education.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director or Program Director.
Qualifications
  • Current LPC or LCSW license in the State of Texas.
  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology or a related field from an appropriately accredited institution.
  • Experience providing clinical services to individuals with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring behavioral health conditions strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a residential, inpatient, detoxification, PHP, IOP or other behavioral health treatment setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent clinical documentation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and client confidentiality.
  • Strong clinical judgment, problem-solving and crisis-management skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with adults with substance use disorders.
  • Experience treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Experience facilitating individual and group therapy.
  • Experience with trauma-informed care.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities such as:
    • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
    • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
    • Motivational Interviewing (MI)
    • Relapse Prevention
    • Solution-Focused Therapy
    • Trauma-informed interventions
  • Experience working with electronic medical records.
  • Experience with treatment planning, discharge planning and clinical documentation.
  • Knowledge of community behavioral health and recovery resources.
