Job summary

Key Cooperative in Iowa is hiring a Propane Delivery Driver based out of New Sharon. You will deliver propane fuel to customer sites from our storage tanks and support the service team as needed.

The role requires a CDL with HAZMAT Endorsement (airbrakes/tanker) or willingness to obtain, CETP certification (training provided), and the ability to work overtime, including weekends or after hours. A strong work ethic and customer-facing professionalism are essential.

Qualifications

• CDL with HAZMAT Endorsement including airbrakes and tanker or willingness to obtain.
• CETP Certified (we will train).
• Ability to work overtime; some weekends; and could be called out after hours.
• Outstanding work ethic with attention to details.
• Positive attitude and strong customer relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Timely delivery of propane to customer sites.
• Provides minor level service work and assists the service team when needed.
• Educates customers of K-factors and Degree Days and why auto schedule is the best for the customer.
• Be able to communicate and solve differences of opinion with the customer.
• Projects a positive attitude to customers and employees at all times; exhibits good customer relations skills.
• Maintain and grow customer base by communicating potential leads to Key Cooperative sales teams.
• Maintain the truck to stay in good working order which would include but not limited to keeping the truck clean and presentable.
• Report all discrepancies of the truck, (repair the ones that you can). Perform pre trip and post trip inspections.
• Fill out and turn in paperwork and notify maintenance of needed repairs.

We’re hiring a Propane Delivery Driver based out of our New Sharon, IA location. (about 60 miles southeast of Des Moines). In this role, you will be delivering propane fuel from Key Cooperative’s storage tanks to customers’ onsite tanks.
