Job summary

The Winsor School is seeking a dedicated Lower School Spanish teacher for maternity leave coverage from October 2026 to March 2027. The role entails teaching Spanish to grades 6–8, using engaging methods and a warm, student-centered approach.

Ideal candidates will bring a passion for language learning, equity, inclusion, and a variety of pedagogical strategies, plus comfort using technology in instruction. Start date is around October 2026.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Spanish; strong fluency in English.
• Bachelor's degree in World Languages, Education, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of classroom teaching experience at the middle school level.
• Demonstrated ability to employ varied, developmentally appropriate teaching strategies.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Teach Spanish to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students using engaging, age-appropriate pedagogical approaches.
• Collaborate with Lower School colleagues to support student learning and community life.
• Integrate technology thoughtfully and effectively into instruction.
• Contribute to the school's vibrant community through active participation in school events and initiatives.
