Peabody School seeks an experienced, creative, energetic, collaborative educator to serve as a part-time Lower School French teacher and exchange program coordinator beginning August 2026.

The candidate will teach French to Kindergarten to 5th grade, with K-3 classes offered as semester-long sessions, and will coordinate the exchange program with Belfort, France, including class connections starting in 3rd grade, and organizing trips and hosting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience teaching French to lower grades; interest in gifted learners.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to teach in largely immersive context.
• Familiarity with technology integration in education.
• Organizational skills and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Teach French to Kindergarten to 5th grade; K-3 classes are semester-long.
• Coordinate exchange program with Belfort partner schools; plan trips and host visiting students.
• Develop lesson plans, objectives and materials; differentiate instruction for gifted learners.
• Maintain engaging classroom environment and assess student learning.
• Collaborate with faculty and administration on projects; communicate with parents.
