Job summary

ADT Security Services is hiring for an on-site Field Technician to install and service low-voltage security systems in customers’ homes and businesses. You will test, configure, and validate equipment while building trust through clear communication and quality workmanship.

You will handle site assessments, teach customers basic usage, and ensure safety protocols are followed. The role requires independence, problem solving, and a customer-first approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (location may require additional licensing).
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency with computer hardware, software, and network diagnostics.
• Ability to safely operate a company fleet vehicle.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and customer-first communication style.
• Self-directed with solid time management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Install low-voltage wiring and mount devices according to site layouts and routing plans.
• Perform site assessments, system testing, and verify connections including monitoring center communication.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and flag defective materials or job inaccuracies that affect service quality.

What you should know about our team:

Our Field Operations team is the hands‑on force that brings our smart security solutions to life. From installation and service to troubleshooting and customer education, these team members are the face of our company in homes and businesses across the country.

What you will do:

You’ll play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences through the installation and support of advanced low‑voltage systems (under 50V). You’ll work hands‑on in customer homes, ensuring systems are installed, tested, and configured for optimal performance and reliability. You’ll be at the forefront of building customer trust through quality workmanship, technical expertise, and clear communication. You will:

The pay range for this role is $22.00–$40.85 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
