Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the communications cabling industry.
  • Data Center experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of codes and standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cabling crews to install and route cables.
  • Build out telecommunications closets and organize racks.
  • Install cable support systems (tray, j-hooks, ladder tray).
  • Terminate cat 6 connectors and optical fiber (multimode/single-mode).
  • Perform copper and fiber splicing (fusion or mechanical).
  • Test copper and fiber cables and troubleshoot systems.
  • Complete documentation such as timesheets and progress reports.
  • Maintain safety and professional appearance on site.
