Position Summary
The role involves installing, servicing, and testing electronic security systems—including burglar and fire alarms, CCTV, access control systems, and related equipment—in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
Compensation
- Starting pay ranges from $20–$35 per hour based on experience.

Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and successful completion of pre‑employment background checks and drug test.
- Ability to obtain required licenses/certifications for security work per state regulations.
- High school graduate or GED.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Mathematical skills: ability to calculate figures, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume, and apply basic algebra and geometry.
- Knowledge of fire and electrical codes for safe and proper installation of alarm systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Install and wire alarm system devices.
- Test and verify all systems and devices function properly per manufacturer specifications.
- Use multimeters for voltage and resistance readings and perform circuit analysis.
- Hook up RJ31X to specified panel mountings for devices such as motion detectors, keypads, and controls.
- Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
- Explain and demonstrate system operations to customers.
- Complete proper paperwork and submit to the appropriate department daily.
- Communicate with clients, coworkers, and Per Mar’s Central Monitoring Station.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Installation Supervisor.
