Job summary

ADT is seeking a Field Technician to install and support low‑voltage systems in customer homes and businesses. You will be hands-on, testing and configuring systems for optimal performance and reliability while educating customers on usage and basic troubleshooting.

You'll work independently, show strong problem‑solving skills, and communicate clearly to build customer trust. The role requires a valid driver’s license and willingness to work evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency with computer hardware, software, and network diagnostics.
• Ability to safely operate a company fleet vehicle.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and customer-first communication.
• Self-directed with solid time management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Install low-voltage wiring and mount devices according to site layouts and routing plans.
• Perform site assessments, system testing, and verify connections, including monitoring center communication.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and flag defective materials or job inaccuracies that affect service quality.
• Educate customers on system features, usage, and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace and follow all safety protocols.

What you will do:

You’ll play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences through the installation and support of advanced low‑voltage systems (under 50V). You’ll work hands‑on in customer homes, ensuring systems are installed, tested, and configured for optimal performance and reliability. You’ll be at the forefront of building customer trust through quality workmanship, technical expertise, and clear communication. You will:
