Job summary

Holm Electric in Incline Village, NV, is seeking a Low Voltage Systems Technician to install, terminate, configure, and troubleshoot low voltage systems on luxury residential projects. You will work with installation teams, project leads, and other trades from rough-in through final setup, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time completion.

Qualifications

  • Experience installing and terminating low voltage cabling.
  • Basic understanding of network, audio, video, CCTV, security, and control systems.
  • Ability to configure networks, alarm, CCTV, and A/V equipment.
  • Ability to follow plans, drawings, and installation instructions.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install low voltage cabling for networks, audio, video, CCTV, security, and control systems.
  • Install system hardware, devices, equipment racks, cameras, speakers, access points, control panels, security devices, and related components.
  • Assist with configuration and setup of network, audio, video, CCTV, security, and control systems.
  • Troubleshoot system issues related to cabling, terminations, hardware, connectivity, programming, and system performance.
  • Work with team members, project managers, designers, and other trades to complete installations according to project requirements.
  • Read and follow plans, wiring diagrams, installation instructions, and project specifications.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional work areas on job sites.
  • Test completed work to verify proper operation and quality.
  • Communicate job progress, issues, and material needs to supervisors or project leads.
  • Follow company standards, safety practices, and applicable codes for low voltage installations.
  • Terminate low voltage cables, including network, audio, video, CCTV, security, and control system wiring.

The Low Voltage Systems Technician is responsible forinstalling, terminating, configuring, and troubleshooting low voltage systemsfor residential projects. This role supports network, audio,video, CCTV, security, and control system installations while working closelywith team members to complete projects safely, accurately, and efficiently.

This position works primarily on active high end residential job sites. The technician will work with installation teams,project leads, and other trades to complete low voltage system installationsfrom rough-in through final setup and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install low voltage cabling for networks, audio, video,CCTV, security, and control systems.
  • Install system hardware, devices, equipment racks, cameras,speakers, access points, control panels, security devices, and relatedcomponents.

Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience installing and terminating low voltage cabling.
  • Basic understanding of network, audio, video, CCTV,security, and control systems
  • Ability to configure Networks, Alarm, CCTV, A/V Equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot wiring, device, and system issues.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, testers, tonegenerators, crimpers, and termination tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
  • Ability to follow instructions, drawings, and job-sitedirection.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with structured cabling, AV systems, camerasystems, alarm/security systems, access control, or automation/control systems.
  • Experience with network setup, device configuration, orbasic IP troubleshooting.
  • Experience working on high end residential job sites.
