Job summary

Power Plus is seeking a reliable Low Voltage Technician to install structured cabling systems in commercial and industrial environments. You’ll work on horizontal cabling, copper/fiber backbone, and security/CCTV devices, visiting multiple job sites daily.

You’ll need hands-on skills in fiber optic CCTV, reading blueprints, and lifting up to 80 lbs. A valid driver’s license and basic Microsoft Office knowledge are required; training is provided, and safety is a top priority.

Responsibilities

Currently we are seeking a candidate to join our United States Temporary Power team as aLow Voltage Technician.

SUMMARY:

This position performs all tasks required for installation of a complete structured cabling system in a new or existing construction environments. This includes but is not limited to horizontal cabling, copper/fiber optic backbone and security/CCTV devices.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Knowledge and ability in the installation practices of fiber optic CCTV and Security installs.
• Perform all tasks required for installation of cabling systems in accordance to code requirements.
• Be able to extend circuits and troubleshoot effectively.
• Maintain work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Adhere to Power Plus! safety and quality standards.
• Other duties may be assigned as business needs require.

COMPETENCIES/REQUIREMENTS:

• Manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude, comfort working with heights – climbing ladders and working in bucket trucks
• Knowledge and ability in the installation practices of fiber optic CCTV and Security installs a plus.
• Ability to read and understand construction blueprints
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures
• Effective verbal communication skills
• Able to attend to multiple priorities with frequent distractions.
• Valid, clean state Driver’s License and clean DMV report
• Knowledge of basic Microsoft office programs (Power Point /Excel /Visio/ Word).
• Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs.

Pay Range: $21.00 - $23.00
