Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install and program security systems at a Dallas data center. You will lead a small crew and ensure workloads and schedules align with project goals.

Job Title: Low Voltage Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician who is proficient in programming and installing security systems, including Card Access, CCTV, CATV, and Intrusion systems, in accordance with manufacturer requirements and engineered drawings. The role involves coordinating small groups of installers to ensure daily workloads are completed efficiently, while maintaining company safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Program and install security systems such as card access, CCTV, CATV, and intrusion systems according to manufacturer requirements and engineered drawings.

  • Lead and ensure the effective performance of the crew, providing necessary training and coordinating personnel to meet project timelines.

  • Accurately and timely complete all necessary paperwork, including timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers, and others as required.

  • Adhere to and participate in all company, customer, and industry quality and safety standards and regulations.

  • Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Skills
  • Installation and maintenance of security systems and access control systems.

  • General labor and proficiency in hand tools.

  • Experience in construction, cable pulling, and fiber termination.

  • Competence in installing security cameras/CCTV and access controls.

  • Ability to terminate CAT5/6 cables (RJ45 terminations) and perform cabling, paneling, terminating, and troubleshooting.

  • Experience with inspection, fire alarm systems, electrical systems, pulling wire, and data cables.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Lift Certifications (preferred)

  • OSHA 30 Certification (preferred)

Work Environment

This role is based in a massive data center campus. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 4:30 pm, with Saturdays being added soon. Expect a minimum of 50 hours per week, with the potential to work 60+ hours.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
