Job summary

Heartland Business Systems, LLC. is seeking a developing technical professional to install and implement video surveillance, access control, structured cabling, and related physical security solutions.

You will collaborate with the Foreman and Project Manager to deliver high-quality installations and a positive customer experience. This role requires independence, a commitment to quality, and the ability to mentor less experienced team members.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience with Access Control, Surveillance, and/or Low Voltage Cabling systems
• Associates Degree or Equivalent Experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support video surveillance, access control, structured cabling, and related security systems
• Work with Foreman, Project Manager, and customers to complete field tasks
• Read and interpret project drawings, specifications, and installation requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve field installation and system issues
• Coordinate with on-site trades and customers
• Maintain quality, safety, and installation standards
• Assist with testing, commissioning, and validation of installed systems
• Mentor and train less experienced technicians and associates
• Identify issues and escalate risks or scope concerns
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used
• Travel to customer sites; local, regional, and occasional overnight stays
• Meet annual billable hour goals
