Job summary

Kastle Technologies Co., LLC, an EMCOR Company, is seeking candidates for a Low Voltage Integration Technician / Apprentice in Plain City, OH. This entry-level role offers hands-on training in cabling, AV, security, and data systems with full-time, non-exempt status.

Responsibilities

• Install low voltage copper and fiber optic cabling.
• Terminate and test copper and fiber cabling using certified equipment.
• Inspect and repair networked systems such as CCTV, access control, AV and security systems.
• Assist in maintaining neat, safe workspaces and follow blueprints and codes.
• Attend toolbox safety meetings and obtain OSHA 10 certification.

General Duties And Responsibilities

• Install low voltage copper and fiber optic cabling.


• Terminate, test copper and fiber cabling systems using certified test equipment.


• Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.


• Repair and install network enabled systems such as CCTV, Access Control, AV Control Systems, Central Sound, Video Management Servers, Projectors, Screens, Interactive Displays, etc.


• Assists in keeping building common and technology spaces in a neat, orderly and safe condition.


• Accomplishes work in accordance with blueprints and specifications, national and local codes and industry standards such as TIA and BICSI.


• Updates as-built drawings as necessary, according to department policies.


• Attend Toolbox safety meetings and demonstrate safety competency in addition to any other recommended topics such as harassment prevention, ethics, etc.


• Obtain an OSHA 10 General Industry Safety and Health standards certification.


• Extended hours or weekend overtime may be available.

Education And Experience

• High School diploma or GED required.


• Knowledge of the Low Voltage Integration or ICT industry.


• BICSI and/or AVIXA certification desirable but not required.


• Valid Driver's License.
