Job summary

Torrance-Memorial-Medical-Center is seeking a Systems Technician I under the direction of the Engineering Supervisor of Electronic Maintenance to maintain, repair, and inspect the medical center's electronic low voltage alarm systems, electrical distribution systems, some computer systems, and cabling.

The technician will inspect, maintain, and repair equipment as required, respond to emergencies, update records and drawings, and coordinate with outside vendors while ensuring all work meets

• Responds to emergencies to keep systems functioning.
• Ensures fire alarm system components operate reliably.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance on low voltage and electrical systems.
• Repairs and inspects electronic equipment per manufacturer specs.
• Documents repairs and maintains drawings of cabling and systems.
• Coordinates with outside vendors when needed and follows medical center standards.
• Responds to work orders and ensures voice paging and clock systems function properly.
