Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an Electrical Designer to join our Semiconductor Sector. You will support tool install projects, focusing on electrical power distribution and low-voltage systems in large-scale facilities.

You will create construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit, perform short circuit analyses, and coordinate with engineers, vendors, and clients. A background in high-tech facilities and NEC/IBC knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years’ experience creating construction documents for low-voltage systems in industrial or high-tech facilities.
• AutoCAD and Revit proficiency to produce electrical drawings.
• Background in electrical engineering drafting with an Associates degree preferred.
• Knowledge of NEC and IBC codes and standards.
• Experience with SKM/Easypower or similar fault current software.
• Ability to multitask and coordinate with multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction documents for electrical power distribution, low-voltage systems including security/access control, telecom, fire alarm, and life safety in large-scale facilities.
• Develop constructible packages from client and tool vendor information and templates.
• Survey existing conditions and identify utility points of connection (POC).
• Develop space management/routing guidelines and rack details.
• Produce short circuit current studies/calculations based on facility data.
• Produce engineering drawings in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Perform construction administration and field work; prior field experience is a plus.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, sub-contractors, and Clients.
• Wear PPE as required by client safety policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Arcadis is seeking an Electrical Designer to join our Semiconductor Sector. In this role, you will work under the direction of a supervising engineer and report to the Lead Engineer supporting Tool Install Projects, including electrical power distribution and low-voltage systems. Proven success with facility and systems design for cleanrooms, laboratories, semiconductor fabs, data centers, solar manufacturing, petro-chemical, power generation, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industries is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction documents for electrical power distribution, low-voltage systems including security/access control, telecom, and fire alarm, and life safety systems used in large-scale industrial facilities.
• Develop constructible packages based on client and tool vendor provided information and templates.
• Experience surveying and documenting existing conditions and identification of utility points of connection (POC).
• Experience in developing and following space management/routing guidelines and rack details.
• Produce short circuit current studies/calculations based on available facility data.
• Produce engineering drawings in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Perform construction administration and field work as required. Prior field and installation experience a plus.
• Participate in team coordination activities with other disciplines, sub-contractors, and Clients.
• Able and willing to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety shoes, hard hats, safety glasses, fire retardant clothing, cut-resistant gloves, and other PPE as required per the requirements of clients\’ safety policies when required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills And Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years’ experience creating construction documents for low-voltage systems, including security and access control, telecom, and fire alarm systems, in industrial or high‑tech facilities.
• Proficiency of relevant CADD software programs to produce engineering drawings; Revit/AutoCAD/BIM, along with Microsoft Office suite. Skills assessment may be requested.
• Background in electrical engineering drafting and design (Associates degree minimum preferred), preferably supporting high‑tech facilities projects.
• Knowledgeable with current NEC and IBC codes and standards.
• Preferred knowledge of SKM/Easypower or other Fault Current monitoring software.
• High level knowledge of short circuit current analysis, breaker coordination and voltage drop calculations.
• Team player who can work with a variety of software, projects, and other individuals.
• Knowledge of cleanroom protocols and relevant procedures preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of Instrumentation, Controls, and Life Safety monitoring system requirements in hazardous production material environments.
• Ability to multitask on multiple projects and work independently. Takes ownership of assignments, can work both independently and as part of the team.
• Strongly motivated, well organized, and shows professional initiative.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (English).
• Ability to provide valid work authorization for US employment required.
